Ali from Aerocraft has supplied information and images of their new family of 1:72 and 1:48 scale Martin Baker fighters, available right now from the Aerocraft web store:

MARTIN BAKER MB.3, MB.3B AND MB.4

Aerocraft has released a family of Martin Baker Aircraft based on the actual prototype MB.3 and then two what if options of a bubble hood, and or then the MB.4.

These are based on proposals to fit a Centaraus engine and we thought it would be good to add the options of a hooked rudder and a different two gun layout. The MB.4 schemes are purely proposed and alternative schemes and markings may be applied as desired. How about a post war racer type aircraft with no guns fitted?

The kit comprises of 60 resin parts. 46 parts will be used to complete the model.

The kit comprises the following sets of parts

  • Thirty-seven 3D printed parts, six of which are alternate parts

  • Twelve small 3D printed parts in a protective cage, two of which are for other versions, and 5 spares of the useable small parts for loss or breakage (printed in with more flexibility)

  • Three 3D printed undercarriage struts (printed with more rigidity)

  • Four 3D printed clear parts for wing tips and gunsight, an extra gunsight included

  • Two clear cast resin canopy parts, can be positioned open or closed

  • Set of canopy masks

  • Decals, this is a sheet that covers this version and others

  • Stunning A4 poster

  • Instructions

The kit is supplied with a set of laser printed decals. The decal are thin, work easily and have good opacity, and they DO NOT look all digitized or pixelated when applied.

Note the decals supplied are a generic sheet for all three of the MB fighters in my range.

The kit will need preparation by the modeler and the supports that are generated will require removing. This is easily done and as long as care is taken then they have been designed to be easily removed. The model will require either a super glue or an epoxy glue for assembly, however, I find PVA can also be suitable in certain areas and for trialling the fit and assembly before committing to the permanent glues.

Note that these kits are available in 1:48 and 1:72 scales.

PLEASE ALLOW 3-4 WEEKS MANUFACTURING TIME
