Mini Craft Collection (MCC) is a relatively new company from China that has, until recently, focused primarily on 3D-printed seats and accessories for U.S. military jet aircraft.
However, the range is now expanding to include more World War II subjects. The latest of these is a superb 1/48 scale 3D-printed cockpit for Airfix’s Westland Lysander, reviewed yesterday on HyperScale.
MCC has now followed up with a second enhancement set for the Airfix Lysander — a beautifully detailed collection of replacement control surfaces.

The set arrives in a small, sturdy silver tin protected by a cardboard slip cover. Inside, the resin parts are safely housed in five individual resin enclosures.

A total of 25 parts are provided, all crisply rendered in grey 3D-printed resin. Each part is attached to a fine lattice of supports that taper to hair-thin contact points. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of these to remove. I recommend using a fresh hobby blade for the finer supports and a razor saw for the larger gates and protective frames.
Printing quality is flawless — there are no striations, layer lines, or other surface imperfections.

The set includes new leading-edge slats, flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder, all printed as separate parts.
The leading-edge slats are divided into two sections per wing and are designed to be posed dropped. They attach using six separate resin mounts, each individually numbered — so take care not to mix them up during assembly.
The flaps are also designed to be displayed dropped. These will be a little easier to install, featuring two square-profile mounting pins printed onto the leading edge of each flap. The resin pins automatically set the correct droop angle.

Some of the cages are clearly labelled left or right. I added “L” and “R” markings to the bases of the printing blocks to help keep everything organised.

Surface detail is outstanding. The stitching and rib tapes on the fabric-covered areas are beautifully represented, and the subtle stretched-fabric effect looks good.
A two-sided A4 instruction sheet is included, offering clear assembly diagrams and guidance on preparing the Airfix kit parts to accept the new control surfaces.

Some cutting and trimming is required, but nothing that will trouble an experienced modeller.

Thanks to Mini Craft Collection for the sample.
