Obviously designed for, and released at the same time as the Supermarine S.4 Schneider racer, this well-detailed accessory kit comes in the usual sturdy box with parts in ziplock bags wrapped in bubble-wrap for security. There are fourteen parts in total; two 3D printed float supports (which have to be identified for left and right sides, so be careful when separating them from their cages) and the main frame, wheels, axles, mounting pads and guards.
All parts are very well cast and printed, the float supports should be easy to remove from their cages. The main frame will need some work to remove it from its substantial casting block. No bubbles or warpage is visible and most parts should be easily removed from their casting blocks.

Instructions are on single B&W A5 sheet and show that some holes need to be drilled for the axles. Some instructions are a bit muddled due to translation issues, such as “ The pads could be slide, if remove a bit from the end of the positioning ribs”! I’m sure actual construction will reveal the meaning of this sentence. No painting instructions are provided but I would imagine that a wooden finish or possibly grey would do the trick.

This is certainly a useful accessory for displaying the wonderful SBS S4 model and comes highly recommended if you have acquired that kit.
Thanks to SBS Model for the samples
