Blackbird Models has expanded its range with a new set of 1/48 scale decals - Early War RAF Pt.1.

 

 

Four different early war RAF types are covered here. These are

  • Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I 65 Sqn, Hornchurch 1940.

  • Hawker Hurricane Mk.I 29 Sqn, Debden 1939

  • Vickers Wellington Mk.IA 115 Sqn, Martham 1939

  • Bristol Blenheim Mk.I 114 Sqn, Wyton 1939

All four subjects are fnished in Dark Earth and Dark Green upper surfaces with black lower surfaces for the Wellington and Blenheim, and split black and white lower surfaces on the Spitfire and Hurricane.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across one folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets.

Both side views and other views are provided.

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are perfectly printed, satin in finish and feature thin carrier film. Sufficient national markings are included for all four subjects.

This release will offer welcome variety for anyone building any of these 1/48 scale RAF early war subjects.
