Xtradecal has just released a series of new decal sets that covers five 1/48 scale de Havilland Dominie / Rapide options

This decal set focuses on the aircraft in military service.

 

 

These will be suitable for the last years very nice 1/48 scale DH.89 Dragon Rapide kit.

 

 

A nice variety of camouflage and markings are offered.

 

 

Details are as follows:

  1. de Havilland Rapide (Military), 6311/'2' of Escuadron 'Alas Rojas' Spanish Republican Air Force, based in Spain, August, 1936

  2. de Havilland Dominie, A33-3, of No.1 Air Observers School, Royal Australian Air Force, based at Cootamundra, New South Wales, Australia, 1943.

  3. de Havilland Dominie C.1, NZ523, of Fiji Communications Flight, Royal New Zealand Air Force, based in Fiji, 1944-45.

  4. de Havilland Dominie, X7524, of 27th Air Transport Group, Eighth Air Force, United States Army Air Corps, based at Abbots Ripton, UK, 1943

  5. de Havilland Dominie, X7394, of 782 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Navy, based at RNAS Donibristle, UK, 1946

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across one folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets.

Both side views and other views are provided.

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

 

 

The decals are perfectly printed and feature thin carrier film.

The release of these decals will offer welcome variety for anyone building the very nice 1/48 scale Armory Model Group DH.89 Dragon Rapide kit.
