Eduard has produced a range of accessories for the recently released Kotare 1/32 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 kit.

Tonight I review five of Eduard's useful upgrades.

321027 - Photo-Etch Bf 109 K-4 for Kotare kit

Eduard's photo-etched upgrade offers super detail with one colour and one brass photo-etched fret providing detail focused on the cockpit and exterior.

The frets are packed full of detail parts.

Specifically, the colour fret supplies a replacement layered instrument panel, rudder pedals, switches and more.

The brass plated fret supplies radiator flaps, wheel well side coversstrips to name a few.

Printed acetate is also supplied for the gun sight reflectors.

This will be a very visible accessory for Kotare's 1/32 scale Bf 109 K-4.

33383 - ZOOM Bf 109 K-4 for Kotare kit

This photo-etched fret supplies the colour fret only.

As noted above, the colour fret supplies a replacement layered instrument panel, boxes, consoles, throttle, switches, knobs and more.

With the Zoom range lower price, this represents great value for the big cockpit.

JX339 MASK Bf 109 K-4 for Kotare kit

This is a set of die-cut, self-adhesive masks for the canopy and wheels.

These masks represent a fast and accurate alternative for a time consuming and often disliked modelling task.

632206 BRASSIN PRINT Bf 109 K-4 Exhaust Stacks for Kotare kit

Eduard's 1/32 scale Bf 109 K-4 exhaust set comprises six parts in 3d printed resin.

Packaging is safe and sound, with the resin parts secured in a crystal case.

The six exhaust stubs are mounted on a strip each. Each stack is perfectly hollowed out.

The centreline weld seams look great too.

Covers are thin with tabs to ensure their correct location.

632207 BRASSIN PRINT Bf 109 K-4 Wheels for Kotare kit

Eduard has released a new set of wheels for the Kotare 1/32 Bf 109 K-4.

The set coprises eight parts in 3d printed and conventionally cast resin.

The tyres have raised tread patters and lettering on the sides.

The main wheel hubs are separate pieces. The inboard hubs are keyed to the axles to ensure the flat spot goes where it should.

The tail wheel is cast as a single piece. The spoked hub looks great.

The tall tail wheel strut is also one piece, this time printed 3d resin.

Full instructions are included.

The use of the photo-etched fret will result in a fast and highly detailed cockpit, especially around the instrument panel. The addition of the photo-etched harness straps will also be a highly visible upgrade.

The resin 3D printed parts are crisply detailed accessories.

These are very useful investments for your Kotare 1/32 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4.
