The use of the 3d resin parts and selected photo-etch will result in a highly detailed cockpit, especially around the instrument panel.

The super detailed seat with its cast-in-place harness straps will also be a highly visible upgrade.

The inclusion of decal placards is a thoughtful inclusion too.

These will be very useful investments for your Airfix 1/48 scale Jaguar GR.1A.

Eduard has added to its existing range of accessories for the acclaimed 1/48 scale Airfix Jaguar GR.1 / 1A.

Tonight I review three more of Eduard's useful upgrades in the BRASSIN PRINT range.

 

 

6481140 BRASSIN PRINT Jaguar GR.1A Seat for Airfix kit

Eduard's 1/48 scale Jaguar GR.1A seat comprises a single part in 3d printed resin, a decal sheet and instructions.

 

 

The 3d printed parts are perched atop a large number of very fine printing supports. These almost come to a point when they reach the bottom of the parts.

 

 

Cleanup with a hobby knife and fine abrasive paper will make quick work of removing the supporting artefacts.

 

 

The parts are crisply presented and free from any striations or other printing flaws that I can see.

Detail is incredible. I particularly like the straps printed in place.

Decals are supplied for placards on the seat frame.

These two sets provide four useful upgrades to the new Airfix 1/48 scale Jaguar GR.1 and GR.1A kits.

 

 

The sets vary only in small details.

Contents are the LOOK 3d printed instrument panel and side consoles, wheels, seat and two-sided masking sheets.

 

Detail is fine and convincing.

The seat is the same as the gorgeous individual seat reviewed above.

 

 

The LOOK set includes the instrument panel and side consoles, 3d printed resin and pre-painted. A photo-etched fret supplies colour harness straps.

 

 

The wheels are beautifully detailed and perfectly cast.

Full instructions are included.

The self-adhesive masks will eliminate an often unloved chore.
