Scale Aircraft Conversions is a long-standing model company that mainly produces cast white metal replacement undercarriage sets.
Originating in the USA as early as 1990, SAC now has a vast range covering most new releases and back catalogues in all the major scales, even some quite obscure subjects.
Why white metal? Well, white metal parts can be produced in low production runs which is helpful for esoteric types. In some cases extra detail needs to be added to plastic kit parts and once again this medium lends itself to master modification. Also, sometimes the white metal repacements can be broken down more simply than the original plastic parts.
Most importantly the white metal medium is both robust and lends itself well to adjustment after installation.
I have used SAC undercarriage legs on a number of ocassions and they have always made it much easier to fine tune the height, rake and splay of the legs.
SAC continues to expand their range with the following three recent releases:
Item No. 48490 - AV-8B Plus Landing Gear (for 1/48 UMa Model)
Thiis is a total replacement of the two sets of main undercarriage and outrigger legs.

Ten white metal parts are included.

The complex geometry of the Harrier makes the SAC replacement parts especially useful. They will be able to be adjusted once glued in place, ensuring all four sets of wheels are touching the ground simultaneously.
Item No. 32196 - Bf 109 K-4 Landing Gear (for 1/32 Hasegawa kit)
This is a simple drop fit replacement for the landing gear of Hasegawa's 1/32 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4. Themain undercarriage legs are cast in one piece each with hydraulic lines and oleo scissors cast in place, resulting in a smaller parts count.

Tall tail wheel strut and the tail wheel itself are also supplied. The tail wheel features radial tread and subtle flattening.
The main gear legs of the K-4 were very similar to the late G legs. You might get away with using the legs on Bf 109 G-2 through K-4, and for tall tail wheel variants of the Bf 109 G-6, G-14 and G-10.

Item No. 32197 - Meteor F.8 / FR.9 Landing Gear (for 1/32 Revell kit)
Wrapping our roundup this time is a complete replacement underrcarriage for Revell's superb 1/32 scale Meteor F.8 / FR.9 kit.
This big heavy model will be well served by robust white metal landing gear.

The set is made up from 13 white metal parts.
The main landing gear and the nose leg are cast in two halves each including muguards. Separate detail parts are also included.

In the case of all these releases, metal castings are clean with no obvious pitting and only minor flash that will be fast and easy to clean up with a sharp hobby blade.
Instructions are not included, but they really are not required.
All Recommended.
