David Doyle Books News #124
We Have More Titles
Dear Friends,
Denise and I pray you are all doing well.
Denise and I unfortunately have been somewhat distracted from our business of late with the news that a bitcoin mining operation has been proposed for a couple sites near our home (one being next door). This noise, of course, is not what we moved here for! I've done a good bit of research on this subject, which in the future I'll be posting in case others are faced with this type of challenge.
Despite those distractions, several large shipments have arrived over the past few days, and the shelves are full again.
We have added some new titles to our inventory, and restocked a good number of WWP, Schiffer and Legends of Warfare titles, including many that had been out of stock for some time. You will find them throughout the website, especially on these pages:
US Military Vehicles 1945 and Earlier
US Military Vehicles Post-WWII
Axis Military Vehicles
Russian and Soviet Ground Vehicles
Commonwealth Military Vehicles
Piston-Engine Aircraft
USAF Jet Aircraft
US Warships
Schiffer Books by Other Authors
In addition, two new Schiffer books are now on the shelves:
Leopard 1: Germany’s Post-WWII Panzer, by Rolf Hilmes
Submarines of the Russian and Soviet Navies, 1946–2026, by Norman Polmar
We have also obtained a quantity of new old stock Warship Data International plans – the Authentic Plans Series drawn by John Lambert and published by Model Books. There are forty-one different sheets, covering Royal Navy guns and mountings, from the Lewis gun and the 2 pounder pom-pom to the 4.7 inch destroyer gun and the twin Bofors, as well as Vosper motor torpedo boats, the Bangor class minesweeper, ‘A’ and ‘T’ class submarines, and the captured U-570. Most are single copies, and once they are gone we are unlikely to see them again.
You will find them on our Non-US Ships page.
Unfortunately, even more damaged books have arrived, and they are on our Dented but Still Good page at heavy discounts.
We are tied up this afternoon with a civic function – but will resume shipping Monday.
Denise and I remain thankful for your ongoing support.
Sincerely,
David and Denise Doyle
