David Doyle Books News
March 2024

Dear Friends,

St. Patrick’s Day is coming, as it does every year, on March 17 – and while we aren’t giving out green beer, or a pot of gold – we do have some special lucky deals from now through midnight on this Sunday (the 17th).

We are offering an additional 17% off our already low prices on Squadron-Signal publications.  Aircraft – armor – naval – all genres of in-stock Squadron-Signal books subjects of all nations are included in this sale. Visit our various category pages to see what we have in stock.  (note, unfortunately, if you try to browse on the Squadron BRAND pages you will encounter several broke links, which we are trying to repair, but the category pages work perfectly). No discount code necessary to get the 17% discount – simply order as usual and the discount will be taken at checkout.

For those of you who are interested in scale military models – we are announcing a new drawing that we hope is right up your alley.  A brand new 1/35-scale kit of the GMC DUKW has been released from the improbably named firm I Love kit.
We couldn’t resist giving one of these away – and as a bonus, the winner will get the two best references in print on this subject – our highly acclaimed GMC DUKW Historical Reference, with 304 pages, and our DUKW and GPA Walk Around book (both, incidentally, which qualify for our St. Patrick’s Day sale)!  These two books are widely considered to be THE references on the fascinating subject of the DUKW. Simply follow this link and enter – no purchase necessary but be sure to indicate that you DO accept marketing (because the notification of the winner is considered marketing by the internet powers).  We will announce our winner on 28 March.

Our drawing last week for $100 worth of books was won by Dave LaDow, and he did in fact claim his prize.  Thank you to all who participated in this drawing.

This week we restocked our selection of Stalingrad and Painting the Fleet books.

Some have written because they can no longer get AFV Modeller or Air Modeller at Barnes and Noble or their local hobby shop, and are concerned that we too may be dropping these great publications – well be assured, we continue to stock both current and back issues of both of these great magazines – and we offer them at a discount off the cover price!

And speaking of being no longer available, today is the final day to reserve your copy of the reprint of the massive two-volume Son of Sherman. Do not miss this chance - and save a some bucks by reserving as well.

Denise and I remain grateful for your support!

Sincerely,
David and Denise Doyle
