David Doyle Books News #66

Announcing...

Dear Friends,

After a couple of days of comfortable temps here, things are heating up again (and we have rain in the forecast).  We hope things are better where you are.

Speaking of heating up, we have some new books to announce.

First are a couple of my books we are taking reservations on:

USS Yorktown CV-10 Legends of Warfare, the famed carrier that served our nation from WWII into the Apollo program, and which is preserved today as a memorial at Patriots Point.

USS Nevada BB-36 Legends of Warfare. This rugged veteran of WWI that was the only US battleship to get underway at Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941.  She was sunk there, raised, fought in the Aleutians, at Normandy and across the Pacific, and survived two atomic bomb blasts at Bikini.

Both of the books above are 176 pages - larger than the usual Legends of Warfare book.

From Phoenix Scale Publications we have coming soon Real to Replica 13, covering the RAF Harrier.  Reservations for this title will close on Tuesday 9 September, which is the ideal companion to the recently-arrived Real to Replica 11, American Harrier.

Closing TOMOTTOW are reservations for Abrams Squad Dioramag special crossover - Best Modern Dioramas.

Those were the high points of what are coming in the future.

Arriving TODAY is the September issue of Phoenix Aviation Modelling International.

Earlier this week we acquired a restock of Tankograd books, including their scarce hardcover Leopard 2 and KV books - don't miss these!

We also got yet another shipment of Warpaint booksand a restock of Casemate books, including their new USMC Tank Markings in the PacificUS Army Tractor Trucks and Semitrailers; and US Airborne Tanks 1939-1945.

Please be aware that this afternoon we are committed to volunteer at a civic function and Monday we will be tied up all day with my mother's doctors appointments.  We will ship as much as we can Saturday morning (the local post office is closed on Saturdays, and the letter carriers run about noon) - but some orders may not ship until Tuesday.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Denise and I appreciate your continued support.

Sincerely,

David and Denise
