David Doyle Books News #74
Help us get organized and you save money!
Dear Friends,
Denise and I pray that all of you are well and are looking forward to a great weekend. We are going to have a very busy weekend, as you will read later in this newsletter.
We have received several new publications, as well as restocking some of our existing lines.
Just in are:
AFV Modeller 145 as well as a restock of back issues
Classic Military Vehicle Magazine November 2025
Military Modelcraft International November 2025
Scale Aircraft Modelling November 2025
Fantasy Figures International number 34
We got another shipment of Casemate books, including the very popular US Army Tractor Trucks and Semitrailers and USMC Tank Markings in the Pacifictitles.
We also restocked on our Warpaint, Schiffer, Classic Warships and Legends of Warfare books.
Over the past few weeks we have been replacing shelving in our garage - aka - book warehouse :). During this time we've moved half of the books we own four timesI We are tired and sore - and now it is time to start replacing the other half - we'd rather move fewer books fewer times, so we are having a special sale from now through Monday. We are offering all Squadron books published before 2021 at 40% OFF! AND - we are offering the same deal on Allied-Axis issues 33 and earlier. No discount code needed - the discount is applied automatically during checkout. Please note - we reserve the right to limit quantities - this deal is for YOU, our regular customers, not bulk buyers. Also, these books are all out of print, and in some cases we only have a few on hand, so do not delay!
As a reminder, we are entering the final week for the early bird bonus of an extra $100 worth of free books in both our Armor book of the Month Club and Aviation Book of the Month clubs. Don't miss this chance to save over 75% on great books for yourself (they also make a great gift!)
Speaking of time running out - reservations are closing TODAY on the Tankograd British Military Trucks of World War I volume.
Reservations will be closing soon on several other titles, such as - Australian Tracked Carriers - this is the second volume in the Desert Sand to Jungle Mud series, brought to us by the same great authors that brought us the great Australian Jeep book.
At the end of this month/beginning of November, from Steve Ginter we will have his new book about the Grumman J4F Widgeon/Gosling - the 123rd title in his Naval Fighters series.
From Phoenix we have a new Real to Replica volume on the F-100 Super Sabre, due in November, as well as a very limited reprint of their earlier volume about Wild Weasels, which is expected in December.
If these are of interest to you - reserve NOW! Remember, with our reservation program no money is due until the books arrive!
On a sad note, our friend Maurizio Baretta, well-known in military vehicle preservation circles, passed away earlier this week. Maurizio and I served alongside each other on the Board of the MVPA for many years - and in recent years laughed that we both lived in Milan - he in Italy and me in Tennessee! During our time on the Board we occasionally disagreed - sometimes strongly - but always could work together and enjoy what we had in common rather than our minor differences. Maurizio was a wealth of knowledge, and always happy to share. He will surely be missed, and we keep his wife Lorenza and daughter Micaela in our prayers, and ask you to do the same.
