David Doyle Books News #88

It's Hard to Beat Free!

Dear Friends,

Denise and I pray that all of you are well, and remain safe and warm.

We are offering our US Half-Tracks Part 1 FREE with a $100 additional purchase - that is an almost $50 value!.  To take advantage of this offer, shop our site, make your selections (do NOT put the half-track book in your cart), and during checkout enter the discount code FREE-HALFTRACK.  Be sure to put the hyphen between free and halftrack.  Your cart will update with a .01 discount, but on our end we will see the "Free-Halftrack" note and include it in your order. This offer cannot be combined with any other discount, and quantities are limited, so don't delay.

We have added some new books and restocked several publications this week - the timing of this newsletter does not allow us to point all them out - browse our site to see the expanded selection.  Unfortunately, as is often the case, when we get a lot of books in , we tend to find a lot of damaged books - and those are offered at extra savings on our Dented but Still Good webpage.

We are sending this newsletter early for a couple of reasons.  First, my mom is having some problems, thus we're taking her to a cardiologist, which is making a truly necessary but unplanned change to our schedule.

Second, the local forecasters are telling us to prepare for what they call a record-setting winter weather event.  We've been told to prepare for ice and up to 12-inches of snow, and power outages.  Now, we know our friends who live in more northern areas are laughing and saying, "Only 12-inchs, so?"  Let's put this in the perspective of Milan, TN - where if ANY snow is predicted schools are dismissed abd I don't think that there is a snowplow in the county (our road is plowed with a road grader WHEN it is plowed.  As of two days ago there was no milk or bread (or beef) in the local grocery store - and we are told to expect roads to be treacherous/impassible until Tuesday or Wednesday.

We hope that by getting this newsletter to you early we can get your orders out ahead of all the weather (but after the cardiologist).  Also, while I can't reasonably disable our "premium shipping" option, I will point that the details of that option state such orders USUALLY ship within one business day.  For the next few days, times may not be usual.

But, at this moment things are clear - and we want to take advantage of this as best we can.

Denise and I remain grateful for your support.

Sincerely,

David and Denise Doyle
