The tropicalized Me109 had extra survival stores which included a carbine stowed in the compartment behind the rear fuselage hatch. The rudder and tailplanes have been held in place by some screw-down blocks to prevent them being blown about during windy weather.  A clear photographed example of these is provided in Model Art, No.375 on page 150. The rudder's yellow paint covering has started to wear off.
