Italeri's
1/35 scale Tiger I (Late Version) is available online from
Squadron.com
Here are some pictures of my first AFV. The kit is Italeri's 1/35
scale Tiger I Ausf. E that was given to me as a gift.
HyperScale visitors will probably be able to pick me as an aircraft
builder by the lack of significant weathering on my almost factory
fresh Tiger!

I approached the build following James Blackwell's Reference
Feature here on HyperScale, which can be found at http://www.clubhyper.com/reference/paintingpanzersjb_1.htm
I painted the model with Tamiya acrylics, applied Future for the
decals, and Dullcoat to bring the finish back down again.

The kit instructions didn't call for an ambush paint job but I
applied it anyway because I like it. I used a combination of wash and
pastels for what little weathering there is.

I enjoyed the build, it made a very pleasant change. I'd like to
thank the helpful folks on Tank Talk who provided guidance to the AFV
rookie! (You'll hearing from me again when I start my Tamiya Panther
something-or-other)
