Hasegawa's 1/48 scale George is available online from Squadron.com

This is the 1/48 scale Kawanishi N1K2-J Shidenkai (George), early version, from Hasegawa.

The model was built straight from the box. White Aluminium Alclad II lacquer was sprayed overall, followed by Aeromaster Kawanishi Navy Green on the upper surfaces. The green colour was sprayed heavily along panel lines, then more lightly in the centre of panels to create a weathered effect. Panel lines were highlighted with pencil.

Further weathering was applied by rubbing through the top coat in places using well-worn wet and dry paper. Paint was also chipped off with a knife blade to reveal the aluminium paint beneath.
