Here's an oddball subject for HyperScale. Its a Komatsu
        D575-A2 Bulldozer in 1/87 scale.
The model is based on a German Kibri plastic kit.
I added a zillion additional details as well as
rebuilding all the handrails and grab irons from piano wire. A complete
scratchbuilt engine and surrounding compartment with full wiring
replaces the molded-on kit detail including rebuilt air cleaners and a
nifty hood top photoetched grill. An optional powered height-lock
dresses-up the rear tiller blade and there is full hydraulic plumbing
throughout. A pair of optional hand carved spotlights are mounted to
photoetched brackets on the front cross-beam (man, those were a pain due
to their size) and a pair of heavy duty portable fire extinguishers were
fabricated using Evergreen styrene stock. Spare parts box mirrors adorn
        the cab.

All cabin glazing was replaced with 0.010in. thick clear
        acetate.
All Hydraulic cylinder struts were re-fabricated from
polished K&S aluminum tubing with carbon steel wire cores.
Trusty old Sculptamold was used as the base dirt stuck
to an trophy plaque...got to get some use out of those things.
The model fits on a standard CD case. It's tiny!
