Eduard's 1/48 scale Tempest is available online from Squadron.com

This is my 1/48 scale Hawker Tempest Mk. II which I converted from the Eduard Tempest Mk. V kit using the excellent Model Design Construction conversion set.

The conversion required a good deal of cutting and trial fitting to the wings and forward fuselage in order to correctly graft the resin intakes and engine cowling in position.

The Eduard kit was the standard release, not the Profi-Pak, so I also had to do some scratch building to enhance the cockpit. A harness from Reheat also helped in this area. The guns were made from fine steel tube,

The paints were all from Xtra-Colour. Decals came from the spares box.

A few coats of Aeromaster Flat Clear completed the project.
