Classic Airframes has announced its tentative Q4 2008 release schedule. This includes the American Spitfire Vc due in the next few weeks, the all-new 1/48 scale Fokker D.21 and P-6E reissue later in October or early November (all three of these kits have an MSRP of USD$48.00), the long-awaited Sea Venom in November, and the Gannet AEW in December. More details will be advised in the coming weeks. The first release for 2009 will be the big 1/48 scale Fiat Br.20.

Addendum

I am pleased to announce that the second server is back on the air, so you will be able to view all those older Features and Galleries, plus Missing-lynx, ScaleWorkshop and more.

2 & 3 October, 2008

We are experiencing some technical difficulties at the moment, with one of my two dedicated servers off the air. This server houses some older Features and Galleries, plus all of Missing-Lynx, ScaleWorkshop and several other websites. A technician is attending to the problem now and hopefully the server will be back in service soon. In the meantime, new content and HyperScale's Forums are not affected (fingers crossed!)

HyperScale has a brand-new Discussion Forum - "Jet Age". The "Jet Age" forum will be the new home for discussion about post-WWII aviation modelling. "Jet Age" discussion will also include propeller driven and rotary wing aircraft of the post-1945 period. "Plane Talking" will remain as the Forum for general aviation modelling discussion; and modelling topics from the dawn of aviation to the end of the Second World War. I hope that you will enjoy the new "Jet Age" Forum.

Last week HyperScale's seven year old dedicated servers were retired, and two brand new servers were brought online. I was pleased to see minimal disruption to service. These servers have larger capacity and higher bandwidth, which is good news. The minor publishing bugs seem to be ironed out now, so updates will continue as usual.
