  • Mick Drover reviews Eduard's 1/48 scale MiG-21R, including 30 images of the kit's plastic and photo-etched parts, decals and box top.

  • Mark Davies examines True Details' 1/72 scale Tiny Tim rocket set. Images of the resin parts, the packaging and a reference photo are included.

  • Dave Kitterman presents seven images of his Williams Bros 1/32 Gee Bee Racer with custom-made decals and a colourful paint job.

  • For our Australian visitors, Melbourne's ESSMC will be holding their Swap and Sell Sunday day on 9 March 2014 from 10am till 12.30 pm More than 20 sellers will be present on the day. The venue is the Box Hill Community Arts Centre on the corner of Station and Combarton streets in Box Hill.

  • On Missing-Lynx, Brett Green reviews Tamiya's brand-new 1/48 scale 1.5ton Cargo Truck Model 1941 (GAZ-AA), including 17 images of the sprues and the box top.

  • Miniatures PMC has released a set of three M48 tank crew figures, sculpted by John Rosengrant. These are available online from Miniatures PMC www.miniaturespmc.com

  • Asuka Model is the new name of Tasca, and they are expanding their 1/24 scale range with a brand new American Bantam Reconnaissance Car. More information and images are available on their website www.asukamodel.com

  • The latest release from Inside the Armour is Item No. 35083X, Ardeer Aggie. This new 1/35 scale release represents a complete build in one box including resin Ardeer Aggie conversion, decals for one tank, ITA35010i improved idlers, ITA35061 Churchill basic PE. All the required AFV Club parts are supplied to make the model, and AFV Club workable late cast tracks are included too. The price is £60. Available now from www.insidethearmour.com

  • Rob Baumgartner reviews Wingnut Wings' 1/32 scale AMC DH9, including photos of the model under construction, the plastic sprues, photo-etched parts, instructions and box top.

Remembrence Day, 2013 - Lest We Forget

By all accounts it was a great 50th Anniversary ScaleModelworld show at Telford on the weekend. The biggest (in every sense of the word) announcement was probably Airfix's 1/24 scale Hawker Typhoon. We'll have more details as they come to hand.

The latest book from ADH Publishing is available for ordering - "How to Build the Tamiya’s Aircraft" by Spencer Pollard, with models built by Spence, Marcus Nicholls, Roy Sutherland, Haris Ali, Alan Firbank, Juan Villaba and me. The book will be delivered in November, and will also be available on the ADH Publishing stand at ScaleModelworld in Telford.

  • Today I review Eduard's new 1/48 scale MiG-21PFM. The wings, fuselage and spine sprues are new for this second generation Fishbed, and my review includes 37 photos of the kit's plastic and photo-etched parts, decals, colour schemes and box top. A review of the Eduard BRASSIN MiG-21PFM cockpit and exhaust nozzle sets is also included.
