Wingnut Wings has just released two versions of the DFW C.V in 1/32 scale. The DFW C.V was arguably the single most important German aircraft of the First World War. The entire reason for military aviation at the time was to support the war on the ground and the most significant way to do this was through reconnaissance and artillery observation. A skilled artillery observer in a wireless equipped two-seater could kill more enemy with his index finger in a few minutes than the most skilled fighter pilots could in a lifetime and the DFW C.V was the most prevalent front line German two-seat aircraft of the war.
Aviation Art Models is a new company out of China. Their first product will be a 1:48 Su-33, which will be tooled in the same factory as the Great Wall Hobby kits. They have started a Facebook page and have posted 50+ photos of the test shot so modelers can get excited about what's coming. More news in the coming weeks.

For our Australian visitors, the 2014 Australian Model Expo will be held over the Queen's Birthday weekend, 7-9 June, at the Sandown Park Exhibition Centre, Springvale in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The National Open plastic model competition is conducted during the Expo and covers nearly all categories including Aircraft, AFVs, Cars, Trucks, Science Fiction and Figures. Kit distributors and retailers will show latest releases along with a variety of model club and hobby displays. A 'Swap & Sell' will be organised for Monda. I'll look forward to seeing you there!

I received the clear sprue for Eduard's all-new 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 yesterday. I have posted six images plus a review of these parts on an in-progress review page. I should have more elements of the kit in the next day or so - keep checking for more!
Floyd Werner advises that he will be selling a very limited edition of 50 1/32 scale Werner's Wings Avia S-199 Series One conversions (i.e., a different version to the earlier release) at the IPMS USA Nationals from 6 to 9 August.

Roy Sutherland has sent Preview images and information about BarracudaCals' newest decals for Birdcage Corsairs in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scales.
We have a couple of final Previews of the new Eduard 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6, which is being released today:
- Check out the video on Eduard's Youtube channel, where they compare photos and 3D model of corrected wheel well bulge on the upper side of the wing of Bf 109G-6.
- Eduard has also provided photos of the wing root bump on a real Bf 109 G-6 compared to their corrected part.
For the information of our Australian visitors, the 2014 NSW Model Show is being held this coming weekend, 3 and 4 May, at Koonawarra Community Centre, Fowlers Rd Dapto (South of Wollongong) N.S.W. Australia and will be open for public viewing from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
